I went shopping today to get some props for my food photos, I wanted some new plates and a few things to fill the shots out with, I started the morning off at a local car boot and managed to pick up a fair few items from there then I went to a place that I was recommended on Twitter called Flying Tiger which sells lots of quirky things, it is a bit like Ikea but smaller and the things in there are fun and different, I got a few more bits here, only a short post as I wanted to show what I had bought.
Wasted Fate took to the stage on Saturday supporting A Foreigners Journey at The Tivoli venue, It was an amazing night they even pulled out a cover of Stone Broken’s Wait For You and everyone knew the words, it was amazing. I was there to take some pictures, enjoy.
Back to The Tivoli last night, this time to see an upcoming band that I hadn’t seen before, Stone Broken, they are on the Download Festival bill and with them playing a show so close to home I wanted to see them in a more intimate venue.
I got there early, so much so I got to see the two support acts, arriving early certainly paid off, getting a spot right on the barrier. This band didn’t disappoint, the atmosphere in the Tivoli was electric playing songs from ‘All In Time’ their current album but also treating us to a number of new tracks off their forthcoming album, the crowd singing along to almost every single song it was a fantastic evening.
If you haven’t seen Stone Broken yet and they are playing somewhere close to home, get down and see them, you won’t be disappointed. I didn’t take my camera but got some pictures on my phone which are below.
Monkey Wrench, the Foo Fighters cover band from the small Shropshire town of Oswestry took to the stage at the Saith Seren last night for their debut gig, the set opened with [ ] and blew the crowd away after that the hits just kept coming one after another. vocals, guitar, bass and drums were all exceptional the time and effort these lads had put into this bad hadn’t gone un-noticed, Saith Seren was packed full of people wanting more and more from this great new band, if you were not there last night, make sure you are there for the next gig, you don’t want to miss this.
Spud on vocals and lead guitar was just amazing, Gareth on rhythm guitar was exceptional you could tell from the presence he had on the stage that this was everything they had worked for, Glenn on bass was alive on the stage feeling every single song and Barry on drums was on point, the drums were tight and his solo midway through the set into my hero was a fantastic twist that nobody had seen coming.

I went out to support Oswestry and the very first Half Marathon today, I took my camera and wanted to use this post to share the pictures that I captured, I was stationed between mile marker 6 & 7 as shown on the map below.
If you would like a copy of a photo that has you in get in touch & I will be happy to send it over.
If you are a regular visitor you will know that for my birthday I had tickets to the Warner Bros Studio – Harry Potter Tour and today was the day we got to visit, I am not going to write a massive review but simply say if you like Harry Potter this is definitely worth a visit and I will let the pictures that I took throughout the day tell the rest of the story.
I had some annual leave to use up before April 1st, I have been thinking about taking it for a while and now and as it is almost April 1st it seemed like a good time to get something in the diary. The UK has been having a nice spout of warm weather recently so I decided to take advantage of it and planned a day out to Llandudno, just me and my camera.
Llandudno isn’t all that far away from home actually, it only takes about an hour to get there, I had a lovely walk around exploring the seafront and taking pictures along the way. I really enjoyed just being out there, my earphones in my ears, camera in my hand just enjoying the moment.
One thing I did see while I was out today was love, lots of people in love, walking along the beach, hand in hand, chatting about various things, laughing with one another, I hope one day I can have that.
Do you live in or around Oswestry? Get your diary and a pen and mark ‘Monkey Wrench’ against May 5th, this my friends is a gig you are not going to want to miss. I have had the pleasure of attending two of the Band’s rehearsal dates to capture video and photos for their
I have had the pleasure of attending two of the Band’s rehearsal dates to capture video* and photos for their Facebook Page and I have to tell you they are tight, as a band the quality of the material is just amazing. The sound, the setlist it all just works so remember May 5th Saith Seren Wrexham be there or you are going to miss out on the debut of one of the best upcoming bands the area has seen.
Here are some photos I took…
I bought my very first camera with the wages from the very first job I ever had I was working as a checkout assistant at a supermarket called Kwik Save which has now closed down, it was back when Jessops had a store on the high street, I had been in a number of times and picked out exactly what I wanted, looked at various articles online to make sure that what I was getting was the best I could afford and started saving, I literally saved all of my wages and bought it within a few months, I was hooked, taking pictures of local landscapes, family members and just things around the house, a few years later I decided to sell that very camera along with all of the equipment that I had collected to go with it, looking back it was a massive mistake, I got very little money for it and lost all of the equipment that I had collected to go with it.
Bad Medicine billed to support Guns 2 Roses at The Tivoli Venue Buckley and I had the pleasure of capturing this monumental event for the guys, the show opened with the amazing ‘Runaway’ followed by hit after hit.
The venue was packed to the rafters with supporters, the atmosphere was electric Jase and the guys of Bad Medicine put on an amazing show, one that you should most definitely get out to see if they are in your area in the future.
Here are some of the pictures I captured;
